The download contains PC/Accelerator. It can be used to install PC/Accelerator on your system as an update or an initial install. If this is an initial install, you will need to obtain an access code. You can do this by contacting PAE at (978) 744-8612.
To load PC/Accelerator, you should print and follow these steps:
1. Save each of the files below to your PC or AS/400 IFS.
2. Create the directory PAE in the IFS, (i.e. CRTDIR PAE); then unzip the files to that directory.
3. Create 6 save files on AS/400 one for each download file, (i.e. CRTSAVF SAVF(SHPINGLIBS/PAELIB01, PAEPCX, PAETBS80, TUNER14)
4. After doing above, you can download. Then follow instructions below..
OS/400 V4R4 or higher 1. CPYFRMSTMF FROMSTMF('/pae/paelib01.sav') TOMBR('qsys.lib/qgpl.lib/paelib01.file')
2. CPYFRMSTMF FROMSTMF('/pae/paepcx.sav') TOMBR('qsys.lib/qgpl.lib/paepcx.file')
3. CPYFRMSTMF FROMSTMF('/pae/paetbs80.sav') TOMBR('qsys.lib/qgpl.lib/paetbs80.file')
4. CPYFRMSTMF FROMSTMF('/pae/tuner14.sav') TOMBR('qsys.lib/qgpl.lib/tuner14.file')
OS/400 V4R2 or lower 1. Use FTP to load the save files. The library MUST be SHPINGLIBS. On a command line, enter FTP LOCALHOST.
2. On the command line, Log on with any valid UserID and Password.
3. On the command line enter, BINARY
4. On the command line enter:
get /pae/paelib01 shpinglibs/paelib01 (replace
get /pae/paepcx shpinglibs/paepcx (replace
get /pae/paetbs80 shpinglibs/paetbs80 (replace
get /pae/tuner14 shpinglibs/tuner14 (replace
On the command line enter, quit
To complete install 1. On the command line enter, RSTOBJ OBJ(SETUP) SAVLIB(PAELIB01) DEV(*SAVF) SAVF(SHPINGLIBS/PAELIB01) MBROPT(*ALL) ALWOBJDIF(*ALL) RSTLIB(QTEMP)
2. Enter the command, QTEMP/SETUP. When asked for a device, enter: *SAVF, this will tell the install program to restore from the save file SHPINGLIBS/PAELIB01.
3. Follow the instructions as presented from the SETUP command.
Note: You must be logged onto your AS/400 with a User with the proper authority.
