The QShell Interpreter
(5769SS1 option-30) is required to use this product. This is available
on V4R3M0 or later. You can either install from your original
media or download it here.
Note: Whenever "xx" appears below replace with the version and release number of your system (i.e., if your system is running V4R5M0 then replace "xx" with "45").
To Download, print the following instructions and click on download below:
1. Download the appropriate file (for your release) to your PC or AS/400 IFS.
2. Create the directory PAE in the IFS, (i.e. CRTDIR PAE); then unzip the file and save to /PAE/QSHELLxx.SAV directory on the AS/400.
3. Create a save file on AS/400, (i.e. CRTSAVF FILE(QGPL/QSHELL).
4. CPYFRMSTMF FROMSTMF('/PAE/QSHELLxx.SAV') TOMBR('/qsys.lib/qgpl.lib/qshell.file')
5. On the command line enter, RSTLICPGM LICPGM(5769SS1) DEV(*SAVF) OPTION(30) SAVF(QGPL/QSHELL)
1. Download the appropriate file (for your release) to your PC or AS/400 IFS.
2. Create the directory PAE in the IFS, (i.e. CRTDIR PAE); then unzip the contents of the file you downloaded to /PAE/ directory on the AS/400.
3. Create two save files on AS/400, (CRTSAVF QGPL/QSHELL and CRTSAVF QGPL/QJAVA).
4. Use FTP to load the save files. On a command line, enter FTP LOCALHOST.
5. On the command line, Log on with any valid UserID and Password.
6. On the command line enter, BINARY
7. On the command line enter, GET /PAE/QSHELL43.SAV QGPL/QSHELL (replace
8. On the command line enter, GET /PAE/QJAVA43.SAV QGPL/QJAVA (replace
9. On the command line enter, quit
10. On the command line enter, RSTLICPGM LICPGM(5769SS1) DEV(*SAVF) OPTION(30) SAVF(QGPL/QSHELL)
11. On the command line enter, RSTLICPGM LICPGM(5769JV1) DEV(*SAVF) SAVF(QGPL/QJAVA)
Note: You must be logged onto your AS/400 with a User profile with the proper authority.
